Ćsir The Ćsir are the principal gods of the pantheon of Norscan mythology. A race of Gods corresponding to the functions of magic, law and war. They include many of the major figures, such as Odin, Frigg, Thor, Baldr and Tyr.
Vanir A second clan of gods, primarily gods of fertility, the Vanir, the god Njord and his children, Freyr and Freyja, are the most prominent Vanir gods who join the Ćsir as hostages after a war between Ćsir and Vanir.
